ELEMENTARY GOLF SCHOOL PROMISES TO: Provide a balance between having fun and learning. Golf is a technical game which requires steady practice and determination to succeed. Youngsters will be given the opportunity to experiment with playing a variety of different shots, as most children do not have the attention span, to spend hours on the range fine tuning their swing. Our coaches are supportive and will offer as much encouragement as possible during the difficult early phases of learning the game. Our program teaches basic fundamentals, with plenty of variation for practicing and playing. We will not only teach the shots, but also the etiquette, behavior and finer points of the rules of the game. Our golf program will supply the child with knowledge on how to fill in a scorecard correctly and we will explain which clothes and behavior are suitable for the course and the clubhouse. Our instructors will be able to adjust the level of complexity to each child’s individual level of progress. Our coaches know how to motivate the novice and are experts in building confidence!
Our unique PGA recognized program is designed to bring golf and its inherent values directly to Preschool, Elementary, and Middle School students through existing After School Programs (ASP) and Parks & Recreation Departments. The curriculum, developed by PGA Professionals, parents and teachers, incorporates valuable character building skills, a low student-teacher ratio; co-ed, age, and ability appropriate instruction; all in a safe and fun learning environment.
A recent study showed that 85% of 1,100 kids who were introduced to golf had a desire to continue to play the sport. The same study showed that less than 15% of those youngsters had an opportunity to participate in organized play. Elementary Golf School would like to change that statistic.
Elementary Golf School provides that opportunity in a four-week session that runs multiple times throughout the school year and offers camps during the summer months. It is designed to allow for indoor and/or outdoor instruction with all the necessary equipment provided. While the goal is to introduce new kids to the game of golf, the sessions are progressive in nature and provide options for kids of all skill levels. Kids will participate in skills testing that will help the instructors assess the need for advancement and provide feedback for the parents.
Our program and instructors are of the highest quality. Our teaching professionals are fully trained, insured, and background checked for our students’ safety. Student safety and customer service are our top priorities.
Elementary Golf School supports our local schools. Our company policy is to donate 5% of all course fees directly back to the school through the PTA/PTSA/ASP programs.
